Walking away

Emre was once known as a tactical prodigy and local hero. His sharp mind and natural leadership skills earned him universal respect, so it came as no surprise that he was the first post-Omnic Crisis addition to the Overwatch Strike Team. He staunchly believed in their mission to help others with unwavering conviction, frequently interfacing with support groups such as Overwatch’s Search and Rescue Team. But years of watching corruption creep into the organization pushed Emre to make the hardest call of his life: to walk away in favor of helping others on his own terms.

Bounty hunted

In the years that followed, Emre was spotted conducting missions for Talon. Though he was reportedly effective in combat operations, other agents in Talon noted his unreliability and tendency to go dark for long stretches of time. During one such absence, Maximilien hired the ex-Overwatch bounty hunter Freja, who had been Emre’s dearest friend in his old life.  When Freja finally managed to track Emre down, he confided in her about his predicament; that he was being overtaken by an unknown force that turned him into a killing machine against his will. Unable to abandon him, Freja chose to stand with him instead of against him. Now the two operate in Talon’s shadow, fighting to keep what remains of Emre’s humanity alive.
